Ingredients

3 lbs chuck or round steak, thinly sliced into strips
    1 can beef broth
1 bunch green onions chopped (about 8)
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 sm can bamboo shoots, drained
1 sm can bean sprouts, drained
1 (7 oz) pkg. frozen pea pods
    ¼ c soy sauce
    ¼ tsp ground ginger
    2 t cornstarch
    2 t water

Directions

Combine steak strips with the broth, soy sauce, ginger, and onions. Place all in the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours.

When meat is tender, turn control to high. Combine cornstarch with the 2 t cold water, and add to the broth in the crock pot. Cook on high for 15 minutes or until thickened. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, and pea pods.

The pea pods do not need to cook through if you are freezing right away.

(For frozen meals divide between 6 containers. To serve microwave for about 6 minutes to reheat.)
