Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 tbs olive oil
    1 lb ground turkey
    1 large Spanish onion, finely chopped
    1 red bell pepper, cored,seeded and chopped
    1 can (28oz) crushed tomaotes
    1 can (28oz) diced tomatoes
    1 can (15oz) tomatoe sauce
    1 can (6oz) tomatoe paste
    1 tsp sugar
    2 tbp each dried basil and oregano
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large pot or dutchoven, heat the oil. Add onion and red pepper- cook over medium heat, stirring often, for 15 minutes or until veges are soft. Add ground turkey and saute until turkey is cooked, 10 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
Add the canned tomatoe products, sugar, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Turn heat to low and cook sauce stirring often for 1 hour or until it thickens.
Taste for seasoning, add more basil and oregano to taste.
Serve over spagetti, sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
FREEZES ANY LEFTOVERS.
