This dish can be made with leaner hamburger and low fat cheeses to reduce the number of calories and amount of fat.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef, browned
1 pkg Great Value oven ready lasagna noodles
1 jar Great Value pasta sauce, Chunky Italian Garden
1 large egg
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
16 oz cottage cheese
Directions
Brown ground beef. Pour in pasta sauce (blend in blender for smoother sauce before adding to meat, if desired.)
In large bowl, combine cheeses and egg, reserving 1/2 cup mozzarella. Mix well.
Spread 1/3 cup of meat sauce in 9x13 casserole dish. Lay in lasagna noodles. Spread one half of cheese mixture on noodles. Spread 1/3 of remaining meat sauce onto cheese mixture. Repeat with another layer of noodles, remaining half of cheese mixture and 1/3 meat sauce. Place one last layer of noodles cover with meat sauce. Sprinkle on reserved mozzarella. Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes in 375 degree oven.
Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
