Introduction

Low-fat and low-carb spagetti sauce. Low-fat and low-carb spagetti sauce.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 Garlic Clove, Chopped
    29 ounce can of Tomato Puree
    29 ounce can of Crushed Tomato
    14.5 ounce can of Diced Tomatoes
    1 lb (16 ounces) Ground Sirloin, 96% fat-free
    1/2 Tbsp Basil
    1 Tbsp Bay Leaves
    4 Tbsp of Chopped Onion
    2 tsp Splenda

Directions

Saute onion and garlic until garlic browns. Add to tomato sauce, tomato puree, and diced tomatoes to a large sauce pan, heat on medium. Add cooked onion and garlic to tomato mixture. Add basil, bay leaves, and splenda to tomato mixture. Ground 96% fat free ground sirloin beef. After ground beef browns, rinse beef in colindar with water. Rinsing the cooked beef removes some of the fat calories. Add cooked ground beef to sauce mixture and cook on medium for 1 hour. Makes 10 3/4-cup servings.
