Ingredients

    1 - Cup Flour
    1 - Cup Sugar
    1 - Cup Milk
    1 - Tsp Baking Soda
    1 - Tsp Vanilla Extract
    1/2 -- Tsp Salt
    1 - 15oz Can of Sliced Peaches
    2 - Tbs Crisco Shortening

Directions

Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
Place shortening in 8" square baking dish (glass preferred) and place in oven.
Mix batter using all ingredients in the order presented.
Pour batter into center of baking dish with hot melted shortening.
Pour can of peaches into center of baking dish.
Return baking dish to oven. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar with 5 minutes remaining to baking time.

Options:
Substitute Splenda for sugar.
Substitute skim milk for whole milk.
Substitute peaches with any other fruit.
