Introduction

A vegan, nut-free (for those with allergies), relatively healthy dessert that isn't lacking on flavor. Ingredients

    * 3 Granny Smith apples
    * 4 fresh peaches
    * 1 banana
    * 1/2 cup raisins
    * 1/4 cup water
    * 1/2 cup rolled oats (Quaker old-fashioned oats)
    * 1/4 cup brown sugar
    * 1/2 cup whole wheat, spelt, or brown rice flour
    * 1/4 cup Earth Balance (or Smart Balance) spread
    * 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    * 1 dash salt

Directions

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Peel, core, and slice the apples and peaches. Slice banana.
3. Combine apples, peaches, banana, raisins and water in a 8x8 baking dish.
4. In medium bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour/spelt, cinnamon and salt. Cut in shortening with knives or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over fruit.
4. Bake in preheated oven 35 to 45 minutes, until topping starts to brown. Serve warm.

Makes 9 generous portions.
