You can add peppers to this if you like...we don't. Good basic chili. Not too spicy. Kids like it. Apparantly this was Pocahantas's recipe (I would not put it into a history book though). Ingredients

    1 1/4 cup each of black, red kidney, and great northern beans. 3 cups pinto beans (I use canned). 1 lb. ground beef, browned drained and rinsed, 1 medium onion chopped finely, 1 can tomato sauce, 3 cans tomatoes (in water), 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tbsp. salt, 2 tbsp. garlic powder, 3 tbsp. chili powder, 1 bay leaf (remove at end). You may add a bit of water too.

Directions

Makes 16 1-cup servings. Prepare foods individually as ingredients specify (eg. brown meat). MIx everything together and heat over stove until hot. Enjoy.
