Introduction

Decided to make homemade turkey soup after having a turkey for New Years day and didn't want to waste any of the bits and peices. Decided to make homemade turkey soup after having a turkey for New Years day and didn't want to waste any of the bits and peices.

Ingredients

    10 oz--Turkey meat
    6 cups--Turkey B roth
    1 C--Raw onions
    2 C--Carrots
    1 1/4C--Cooked Barley
    salt and pepper to taste, bay leaves
    celery, peas, corn (optional)

Directions

Cook the Barley ahead of time.
You will have boiled down the carcass of the turkey the night before and taken all the meat off the bones.
Cut up the carrots and onion.
Add everything to the broth and turkey bits, put in a crock pot and cook for 3 hours till everything is cooked to your liking.
Add salt and pepper to taste and any other seasonings you like. You can also add any other veggies you like (celery, peas, corn), but they are not in the nutritional values.
