Ingredients

    2 Cups Rolled Oats
3/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar (Trader Joe's Organic)
    1/2 Cup Wheat Germ
    3/4 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
    1/2 Cup White Flour
    1/2 Cup Wheat Flour
    3/4 Cup Raisins (Optional)
    3/4 Tsp. Salt
    1/2 Cup Local Honey
1 Egg Beaten (Or 3 Tbs. Egg Whites)
    1/2 Cup Canola Oil
    2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 pan.
2. Mix the oats, brown sugar, wheat germ, cinnamon, flour, salt and raisins. Make a hole in the center of the bowl and our the honey, egg, oil and vanilla in the center. Mix well using your hands and pat mixture evenly in the 13x9 pan.
3. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Make sure you watch carefully at the end so that they do not over bake. If they do, they will become very crunchy. Watch to see when the edges become golden brown and remove from oven. Let cool 5 minutes and then cut into bars. If you wait longer than 5 minuted they may be too hard to cut later on.
