Ingredients
-
2 cups whole wheat flour
1.5 cups white flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1.5 cups warm water
1 teaspoon salt
(1/4 cup sugar)
cheese
veggies
veggie pepperoni
tomato sauce
Directions
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of sugar in the warm water.
Add the yeast, and let sit until foamy (this takes a few minutes).
Stir in 1 tablespoon olive oil, and the salt.
Mix with the whole wheat flour and 1 cup of the white flour, until doughy. The mixture is very sticky, so start with a spoon and then try your hands, dusted with flour, to finish up.
Put the rest of the white flour on a surface for kneading; knead the dough until it is firm, turning to ensure the ball is coated in flour.
Grease a large bowl with olive oil, and place dough in bowl. Cover the bowl with a towel.
Let rise 1-2 hours.
When risen, (dust the surface again) and knead gently, then shape to fit in your pizza pan(s).
Bake at 425 for about 5-7 minutes, then top with sauce, cheese, veggies, etc.
Bake until cheese it melted.
