Introduction

Classic and tasty. NOTE: This recipe DOUBLES the sauce (what can I say - I just LOVE sauces), so you can save a lot on calories if you half everything but the chicken breasts. Classic and tasty. Ingredients

    4 Chicken Breasts
1 Cup Fat free half and half
    6 TBS Butter
    4 TBS Flour
1 Can Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free
4-12 TBS Grey Poupon Country Dijon Mustard (to taste)
    4 Cups Brown Rice

Directions

Makes 4 healthy sized servings.

Clean chicken breasts and cut into strips.

Prepare rice per instructions - we prefer to use a rice steamer.

In a large saute pan, melt butter and cook chicken until just cooked (about 5 minutes). Remove from pan and set on plate. Stir flour into the butter and cook for approximately one (1) minute. Slowly whisk in chicken broth followed by half and half. Cook until thickens and bubbly - stiring frequently. Add any juices from the plate of chicken to the mixture and stir. Finally, place the chicken into the sauce and let simmer until rice is ready. Serve over rice.
