Introduction
Easy to make and sooo Good Easy to make and sooo GoodNumber of Servings: 1
Ingredients
-
1 Lemon
3 Garlic Cloves, peeled and Smashed
1 Bayleaf
5 Whole Peppercorns
4 tablespoons Old Bay (or more to taste)
1/2 pound medium shell-on shrimp (approx. 15-18)
Directions
This is suppose to be one serving, but I think two could share.
Bring two quarts water to a boil. Squeeze the juice of both lemon halves into the water and toss the rinds into the pot. Add the garlic, bay leaf, peppercorns, and seafood seasoning. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered for 15 minutes. Bring the water back to boil, add the shrimp and cook for 2-4 minutes (this will depend on the size of the shrimp). Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon and spoon into an individual bowl and spoon some of the cooking liquid over the top.
Sodium is extremely high, but that is just the liquid broth. I really don't think that much is consumed. It is hard to adjust for that, I put an average of 1tsp ingested per serving.
