Introduction

OMG! I did it...this tastes peppery but yummy. I never cooked with lentils before! OMG! I did it...this tastes peppery but yummy. I never cooked with lentils before!

Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    1 qt chicken broth
    Celery, raw, .5 cup, diced
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Mrs. Dash (R) Original Blend, 1 tsp
    *Cooking Spray, Pam, 1 serving
    2 cups of water
    1 1/2 cups fennel sliced
    Ham, regular (11% fat), 1 cup, diced
    Lentils, .5 cup


    Saute onions in Pam, add carrots, celery and a little broth and cook for 15 minutes, add rest of broth and water, Mrs Dash and lentils and fennel. Bring to boil, add ham. Simmer until lentils are cooked, about 20 - 30 minutes.
