Introduction

The goal of this recipe was to lessen the carbs, it is still a high calorie food. At 17g of carbs per cookie (at an estimated batch of 3 dozen), it's not exactly a low carb food either, but can be a nice occasional treat.

Original recipe came from Truvia website. I've made adjustments to suit my taste and hopefully to lower the carbs (I removed the oats the original recipe called for in addition to the flour).

Ingredients

    1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
    1/4 Cup + 2 tsp Truvia
    1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 Tbsp skim milk
    2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F.
Place butter, Truvia and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Cream together ingredients for 1½ minutes, then add eggs, vanilla and milk. Mix for 1 minute.
Blend flour, baking soda and salt together in a medium bowl.
Mix dry ingredients into egg mixture until well combined.
Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Spoon onto non-stick cookie sheet approximately 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes
