Introduction
This is a Quiche-like dish, with no crust, that my sons love. You could make it even less fat by using reduced fat cheese. Even though my husband thinks its only suitable for breakfast (because it's eggs), I like it for dinner too. Very satisfying. This is a Quiche-like dish, with no crust, that my sons love. Ingredients
-
3 large eggs
*Heart Smart Bisquick 3/4 cup
Milk, nonfat, 1 cup
Swiss Cheese, 2 cup, shredded
Lite Polska Kielbasa, sliced and quartered
2 T chopped onion, very thin
Directions
Saute Kielbasa and onion in a fry pan until onions are to your liking. While it is cooking, shred Swiss or Jarlsberg (my favorite) cheese in a mixing bowl. Add meat/onion to cheese once cooled and stir together. Put in a greased 2 quart casserole dish or large glass pie plate. In mixing bowl, mix Bisquick, milk, and eggs until smooth (can also use blender for this). Add 1 t salt and 1/4 t. black pepper. Pour over top of cheese mixture in casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes (depending upon how crispy brown you would like your cheese.)
