Introduction

Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups flour
    1 1/2 cups oatmeal
    1 cup butter
    1 1/4 cup brown sugar
    1/8 tsp baking soda
    dash of salt

    1 bag Milk Maid Carmels
    1/2 cup milk

    2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8x13 pan.

Melt butter.

Mix flour, oats, sugar, powder, salt and melted butter together to form crust.

Spread 3/4 mixture into pan. Reserve 1/4 mixture to sprinkle on top.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Remove wrappers and put caramels into a microwave-safe bowl. Add milk. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, and microwave in 15-second increments until caramels have completely melted.

Pour onto hot crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel. Crumble crust mixture on top.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Put in fridge to cool completely. Slice.
