Ingredients

93% Lean Ground Beef, 1 lb
    Flour, white, 1/4 c + 1 tbsp
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
    Salt, 1/2 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1/2 tsp
    Garlic powder, 1/2 tsp
    Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
    Milk, 2%, 1 cup

Directions

Make hamburger into 4 patties. Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder in bowl. In separate bowl, beat egg. Heat oil on medium heat. Now dredge your hamburger patties in egg first then flour. Do with all patties before putting into oil. Put in oil and cook for about 15 minutes or until center is no longer pink, turning once. Put them on a plate and without draining pan, put the rest of the flour mixture into oil, whisking to break up lumps. Now slowly add milk, whisking as you go. This will only take a moment to thicken. Pour over your chicken fried steaks to serve.

I added a little more pepper on top of this when served.
