Ingredients

1 lb lean ground turkey
1 onion (approx 1 cup chopped)
1 Sweet red pepper (Approx 1 cup chopped)
1 can sodium free diced tomatoes
1 24oz can red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
1 16 oz can black beans (drained and rinsed)
2 Tbsp Chili powder
3 cloves garlic diced
1 diced jalapeno pepper
Directions
Brown ground turkey in a skillet over medium high heat, add onions to soften about 5 minutes before finished.
Pour turkey and onions into slow cooker (6 quart works well).
Drain and rinse the Red Kidney Beans and Black Beans well.
Add all ingredients to the slow cooker and mix well. Cook on low 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. This is a family favourite. The longer it simmers, the better it tastes! Great for leftovers!
Server over brown rice, or on a bed of greens for a complete meal! Feel free to add in red pepper flakes, oregano, and black pepper to taste.
