Ingredients

1 C Butter, softened
1 C Brown sugar, packed
1/2 C Granulated sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Almond extract
1 1/2 C All purpose flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon, ground
1 tsp. Cardamom, ground
1/4 tsp. Allspice
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 C Old Fashioned Oats
1 C Dried cherries
1 C Slivered almonds
Directions
Heat oven to 350° F.
Cream together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar until smooth. Stir in eggs and almond extract. Set aside.
In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cardamom, allspice and salt. Stir into butter mixture.
Stir in cherries and then almonds.
Drop by teaspoons onto UNgreased baking sheets.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until brown around the edges. Allow to cool one minute or so on the baking sheet.
Transfer to wire rack to cool.
Enjoy.
