Introduction

Yummy black beans from one of my very best friends. Yummy black beans from one of my very best friends.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb of Goya black beans
    1 1/2 green peppers
    2/3 cup olive oil
    1 large onion
    4 garlic cloves
    1/2 green pepper
    3 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp cumin
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp oregano
    2 - 3 bay leaves
    2 Tbs sugar
    2Tbs vinegar
    2 Tbs dry white wine

Directions

Soak beans overnight with one green pepper. Saute onion, and garlic in olive oil, add pepper, salt, cumin, oregano and bay leaves. Add sugar, vinegar and white wine. Cook until beans are done and juice is the consistency of gravy. Stir frequently.
