Introduction

Took out the oil and it still tasted great. A great way to showcase Red Fife's (bulk barn) capabilities of making fluffy pancakes with a nice 'filling' texture, and four times the protein to boot! Ingredients

    1 cup Red Fife whole wheat flour
    1/4 cup Brown Sugar (dark or light)
    1 cup regular or reduced fat buttermilk
    1 large egg
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt

Directions

Mix the wet together, the dry together (wisk the powder for good mixing) and then carefully fold them together. Don't overmix, so they stay tender, and cook on a gentle medium heat (too hot and the sugar in them burns) They're very soft, so be careful when you flip them! If you use dark brown sugar, they get crispy edges.

Serving Size: Makes four hefty pancakes
