Introduction
Just the chex squares, everyone dislikes something in the mix, so we just stick to the chex, all seasoned up! Can be microwaved, but experience proves that baking at 250 is the best way for evenly coated and crunchy snacks! We make supersize batches since our family takes it for lunch snacks and the neighbor kids love to snack here too. Ingredients
-
19 cups of Chex cereal, wheat, rice and/or corn.
I use 6 cups corn 6 cups rice and 5 cups wheat.
1 stick of butter
3 T Worcestershire sauce
3 t seasoned salt
1 t garlic powder
3/4 t onion powder
1/2 t cayenne pepper
Directions
Melt butter in glass measuring cup, add spices and whisk to mix. Measure cereal into large bowl and slowly drizzle butter/seasoning mixture onto cereal about 1 oz at a time. Shake bowl to bring uncoated mix to top, and keep repeating until it's mostly coated. Shake around a few more times to distribute, then pour onto 2 non stick cookie sheets. Bake 1 hour, stirring and switching top/bottom racks to evenly bake every 15 minutes. Pour onto paper towels to cool and store airtight container.
