Introduction

Here's how to do it at home Here's how to do it at home
Number of Servings: 13

Ingredients

    3 cups plain nonfat yogurt
    1/2 cup half and half
6-8 oz frozen unsweetened fruit (e.g., strawberries)
    3/4 to 1 cup sugar
1 tsp sour salt or 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until combined (don't overblend or too much air will be whipped into the mix). Adjust sugar and lemon juice to taste, making sure the mix is a bit sweeter than you'd like (it'll taste less sweet when frozen). Chill until ready to use.

Freeze in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Decant (I put it right back into the quart yogurt container) and freeze until firm.

Serving Size: Makes just over a quart of frozen yogurt
