Introduction

Make your own healthy pancake mix . Make your own healthy pancake mix .
Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

    4 cups old fashioned oats
    2 cups all purpose flour
    2cups whole wheat flour
    1 cup brown sugar
    1cup instant nonfat dry milk
    3 T Baking Powder
    2 T Cinnamon
    5 t Salt
    1/2 t cream of tartar

    eggs
    applesauce
    pumpkin
    flax seed
    wheat germ


Directions

Mix all dry ingredients together. Store
in a gallon size bag or air tight container.
I add 2 T of Flax seed and 2 T wheat germ to mixture - not included in nutritional info.


To make pancakes: Beat 2 eggs in a large bowl. Gradually beat in 1/3 cup applesauce and / or pumpkin. Alternately add 2 cups Pancake Mix and1cup water to mixture.Blend well.
Pour 1/3 cup batter per pancake onto griddle.
Makes 8 pancakes.
