Ingredients

    1 small onion, sliced thin
    5-6 cloves garlic, smashed
    2 tbsp olive oil

1 carrot, sliced into thin 2" sticks

1 zucchini, sliced into thin 2" sticks
12 spears thin asparagus, woody parts removed, 2" long
2 kumato tomato (or any small tomato), chopped
    1/4 c frozen peas
Fresh basil, about 20 leaves, sliced thin

1 lb package Farfalle (bowtie) pasta, or penne if you prefer

Directions

Cook pasta in salted water, about 10 minutes. While the pasta is cooking, begin the primavera sauce.

Heat olive oil and saute garlic and onions until slightly transparent, about 2 minutes, over medium heat. Toss in carrots and saute another 2 minutes. Add in zuchinni, asparagus, and tomatoes and cook another 2 minutes. Toss in 1 cup of pasta water, frozen peas, red pepper flakes, and stir 1 minute. Toss in drained farfalle and fresh basil, adding more pasta water to moisten as needed.

Add salt and pepper to taste, and serve immediately.
