Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

1 cup of pinto beans for every quart your slow cooker holds
1 small bag of baby carrot sticks
5 slices of cooked bacon (optional)
    Seasonings (my choices)
    - 2 tbsp cumin powder
    - 2 tsp garlic salt

Directions

1. On a light-colored surface, sort through the beans and pick out any shriveled, halved, or questionable looking ones. Also pick out any dirt clumps or small stones.

2. Rinse the beans in cold water and then cover them with 1-2 inches of water in slow cooker pan and leave them with lid on overnight in refrigerator.

3. The next morning, cover your beans with fresh water and add bacon (optional) and seasonings of choice.

4. Cook in your slow cooker on LOW setting for 9-10 hours or on HIGH for 6-7 hours.

5. Enjoy your beans!
