Introduction

I learned this recipe when I was 5. My mom called them "funny" because she would make them on a pan with ridges, giving it a unique shape. Its great and only takes 5 minutes to make! Ingredients

    1 1/4 C. flour (all purpose)
    1 tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 large egg
    1 c. non fat milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tbsp. canola oil
    *1 tsp. butter/margrine if you don't have a non stick pan...

Directions

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Mix well.
Push ingredients off to the side of the bowl (keep them in the bowl) and crack the egg on the other side. Scramble the egg with fork.
Add milk and stir everything together.
Add vanilla and oil. Stir well.
Preheat large sautee pan. (do not grease if non stick. If you do not have a non stick pan, then grease with butter or margrine).
When pan is hot enough, pour batter into 5 inch rounds. (most of the time you can fit more than one pancake at once.)
When the pancakes start to get bubbly on the top (about 5 minutes), flip it using a spatula.
Cook for 1/2 a minute on the other side.
Remove from heat and pour more batter in its place.
Enjoy your pancakes! You can add what you want but the nutrition facts will change...
