Introduction
A different twist on the usual Green Monster, using what I had on hand A different twist on the usual Green Monster, using what I had on handNumber of Servings: 1
Ingredients
-
1 scoop Nectar Sweetz Vanilla Protein Powder
2 cups fresh spinach
1/2 frozen banana
2 frozen strawberries
1 small sliced apricot
1/2 tsp (less probably, I eyeballed it) Guar Gum
1 tbsp sugar free almond roca torani syrup
1 single serve cup breakstones 2% cottage cheese
Directions
Dump all ingredients into a blender (I used the large cup of my Magic Bullet) and blend to desired consistency.
The cottage cheese whirls up nice and smooth, the frozen fruits give it a creamy cold texture and the spinach, while obvious in color, disappears from taste completely behind the fruits.
I've seen a ton of Green Monster recipes and have had a few good ones. This one was just using what I had in the house and despite the seemingly odd combination, it turned out delish! (and who can complain about 36 grams of protein, almost no fat, and great taste for under 300 calories?)
Serving Size: makes 1 VERY filling shake
