Made with oat flour instead of wheat flour. Made with oat flour instead of wheat flour.
Number of Servings: 12


    2 1/2 cups diced apples
    2 cups oat flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 t salt
    1 c sugar
    1/2 c shortening
    2/3 c milk
    1 t vanilla
    1 egg

    2 T butter
    2 T flour
    1 t cinnamon
    1 c brown sugar


Preheat oven to 375*F
Prepare apples and set aside. IN bowl, beat sugar, shortening and egg. Add milk and vanilla. Mix well. Add dry ingredients. (Batter will be thicker.) Stir in apples. Spread in a 9x13" pan, or two pie pans. (ungreased)
Mix all ingredients together with fingers and crumble over top of cake. Bake at 375 for 30 min or until golden brown.

Serving Size: makes 18 2-inch pieces
