Ingredients

To make the cornbread:
2 - 7-1/2oz. boxes of Hodgson Mill Whole Grain Corn Meal & Wheat Flour Cornbread and Muffin Mix
- Egg, fresh, 2 large
- Milk, nonfat, 1 cup
- Water, tap, .5 cup
For biscuits:
Pillsbury Oven Baked Biscuits - 6 biscuits
For dressing:
-Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped
-Onions, green, 1 bunch
- Celery, raw, .25 cup, chopped
- Poultry seasoning, .5 tsp
- Egg, fresh, 6 large
-Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 4 cup
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
--- Cornbread ----
Combine cornbread mix, 2 eggs, one cup of skim milk and 1/2 cup of water in large mixing bowl. Pour into a cast iron skillet that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake accourding to package directions.
---Biscuits---
Place 6 biscuits on a baking sheet and bake accourding to package directions.
---To Make Dressing---
*Crumble cooked and cooled cornbread into an extra large mixing bowl.
*Crumble cooked and cooled biscuits into bowl.
*Add vegetables, poultry seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
*Add remaining 6 raw eggs.
*Add chicken broth until the consistency of cornbread.
*Mix well
*Pour into large baking dish (may take two dishes).
*Cover with foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
*Take foil off and turn oven to 400 degrees and bake 10-15 minutes more until desired browness is acheived.
--- You can make this an entire meal by placing boneless skinless chicken breast on the top before covering with foil and cooking.
