Introduction

While this smoothie may not look very appetizing, it's a great way to get in a wide variety of nutrients at any time of day (especially for those picky eaters!). The spinach serves to add in that extra serving of veggies without affecting the smoothie's great fruit taste. Ingredients

    1/4 cup of fresh chopped spinach
    3/4 cup of plain yogurt, frozen
    1 cup of strawberries, frozen
    3/4 cup of fresh sliced mangos
    1 tbs of quick or instant oats
    1 tsp of brown sugar (can substitute honey)

Directions

Add spinach to blender or food processor and pulse. Add yogurt, strawberries, and mangos and mix on a high setting occasionally stirring until mixture is smooth and lumps are beat out. Finally, add oats and sweentener for one finally pulse. Serve either immediately in a large tall glass or freeze for as a frozen yogurt snack for later.

Serving Size: Makes one large glass
