Introduction

A simple, fudgy almond brownie bar made with a silken tofu and brown sugar base. Great for parties where allergies are a problem! A simple, fudgy almond brownie bar made with a silken tofu and brown sugar base. Great for parties where allergies are a problem!

Ingredients

    150 g semisweet chocolate, melted
    400 g silken tofu
    80 g margarine
    150 g brown sugar
    150 g blend of soy, rice and buckwheat flours
    Pinch salt
    60 g slivered almonds (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 355°F. Grease bottom only of a 9” pan.
Using a food processor, beat chocolate, tofu, margarine and sugar until very well blended and creamy.
Mix flours and salt. Blend into the creamy mixture by hand until just blended.
Bake 25-30 minutes, cool completely in pan.
