Ingredients

    1 lb chicken (boneless skinless), diced
    1 lb ground veal
    1 bunch parsley, minced
    chopped sage to taste
    fresh thyme to taste
    1/2 pkg fresh mushrooms
    zest of 1 lemon
    minced chives
    2 tbsp soften butter
    a little milk
    1 garlic clove, finely minced
    grated ginger root (fresh)
    dash each cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon
    salt and pepper to taste

    prepared pie crust, top and bottom for 9" pie (I used frozen, but you can make your own)
    1 egg, beaten

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients except crust and egg together in a bowl. Lay 1 crust in a pie plate, fill with meat mixture. Add top crust, cut off extra, fold and pleat. Ventilate the top. Brush top crust with beaten egg, and bake at 350 for 2 and a half hours. Serve hot or cold with vegetables or salad.
