Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 Med/Large Green Peppers
    1 lb Ground Beef
    1/2 Cup (dry) Rice
    1 15oz Can Tomato Sauce
    1/4 Tsp Parsley
    1/4 Tsp Oregano
    1/4 Tsp Pepper
    1/5 Tsp Italian Seasoning
    1/4 Onion Powder
    1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder

Directions

~Preheat oven to 350 or may be cooked in a crock pot.
~Cook rice according to package.
~Brown beef in skillet. Add rice, tomato sauce, and all spices. Set aside.
~Cut tops of green peppers off and rinse the inside to get rid of seeds. Stuff peppers with beef mixture.
~Place in greased casserole dish and bake covered for 15 minutes. Uncover and cook until peppers are at desired tenderness. (About 15-20 minutes)
~If using crock pot, place stuffed peppers into pot and cook on low for about 6 hours.

~I based my nutritional info on 4 large peppers. To reduce calories you may add 2 peppers (making 6 servings) using small to medium sized peppers. Or simply eat 1/2 of a large pepper. Using turkey instead of beef will also cut the calories and fat!
