Introduction

Adapted from the basic recipe for "Top Secret Recipes" version of KFC Cole Slaw (regular). The critical part of this slaw recipe is the flavor-enhancement period prior to eating. Be absolutely certain the cole slaw sits in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours prior to serving for a great-tasting slew of slaw. Ingredients

    4 cups of finely chopped cabbage
    1/8 cup shredded carrot
    4 packets of Splenda (1 packet = 2 teaspoons)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    a couple of heavy dashes of black pepper
    1/8 cup 2% milk
    1/4 cup lite mayonnaise
    1/8 cup fat free buttermilk
    3/4 tablespoons white vinegar
    1 1/4 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

1. Be sure that the cabbage and carrots are chopped up into fine pieces (about the size of rice kernels).
2. Combine the Splenda, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar and lemon juice and beat until smooth.
3. Add the cabbage and carrots. Mix well.
4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
