Ingredients
-
Orange Juice, 1 cup
*Soy Sauce, .25 cup
Sesame Oil, 1 1tsp
Cornstarch, 2 tsp
Ginger, ground, 1 tsp
*Canola Oil, 4 tbsp
*Pork Chops (pork loin), 6 chops
Directions
In a small bowl, whisk together first 5 ingredients until combined. Set aside.
Heat a large frying pan over high heat and add the oil, spreading it so that it evenly coats the bottom of the pan. WHen the oil just starts smoking, place the chops inthe pan so they aren't touching. Cook until chops are browned on the bottom, about 1 min. Turn and cook 1 minute more.
Reduce heat to medium and cover the pan to keep the chops moist as they cook. Cook 4 minutes, turn the chops, and cover the pan again. Cook 4-5 minutes more, until the chops are firm but still springy to the touch.
Transfer chops to a platter.
Tilt the pan and spoon off and discard any excess fat. Increase the heat to high. Add the sauce to the pan and use a spatula to scrap up any bits of meat sticking to the bottom of the pan. Once sauce starts to bil, reduce the heat to medium and let the sauce simmer for 30 seconds.
Pour the sauce over the chops and serve immediately.
