Introduction

This is my maternal grandma's recipe. I love the strong pepper taste. and it makes a great dish for cold winter days. I usually eat it with rice or just like a soup. Ingredients

    *Raw Toor dal - 0.5 cup, 1 serving
    *Green Beans French style, 3 cup
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    Pepper, black, 1 tbsp
    *chana dal (bengal gram), 30 gram(s)
    *Raw Toor dal - 0.5 cup, 0.125 serving
    *Cumin seed, 1 tsp
    *Coriander seed, 2 tsp
    *Red Chillies (1 chillie), 2 serving
    *Tamarind Paste, 2 tsp
    *Butter - Ghee, 1 tsp

Directions

Dry roast the Pepper, black, 1 tbsp,
*chana dal (bengal gram), 30 gram(s)
*Raw Toor dal - 0.5 cup, 0.125 serving
*Cumin seed, 1 tsp
*Coriander seed, 2 tsp
*Red Chillies (1 chillie), 2 serving

Grind them into a dry coarse powder. I prefer black pepper corns if possible to grind freshly but could not find it on spark nutrition list. Then pressure cook the toor dal and green beans till done. Then add the tamarind paste to some water (depends on what consistency u need) and then after boiling add the chopped onions and ghee to it and add the powder mix and add the green beans and toor dal. and cook till done...
