My favorite type of asparagus: My favorite type of asparagus:
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    10-12 spears of fresh asparagus
    1 tbsp of bacon bits
    2 tbsp of chopped raw onions
    1 tbsp of olive oil
    1 tsp of minced garlic
    salt and pepper to taste ( I like to use garlic salt and cajun seasoning)

Directions

Wash asparagus and break off ends
break asparagus in half and place in 8" skillet
add 1 tbsp of olive oil and the garlic
add in onions and bacon bits
add desired seasoning
saute' on medium-high heat for 7-8 minutes, stirring frequently
* if you like crunchier asparagus cook less, if you like more tender, cover and cook longer.

    I made mine w/out the onions or bacon bits and added Mrs. Dash in lieu of the salt. It was very delicious! - 5/17/08

    Incredible!
    this is an awesome recipe...i did change it for myself, instead of onion and bacon bits, I added several dashes of Kraft Lite Italian Dressing to it....I will make this again! - 6/7/09
