Introduction
This is what I came up with after experimenting to find an awesome meatless taco dish. It also contains no diary as I'm lactose intolerant, so boom, vegan taco's haha. Ingredients
-
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup water
1 can black beans
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 can sliced black olives
1 can vegan refried beans
1 cup salsa
1 head romane lettuce, chopped
tortilla chips
2 roma tomatoes, chopped
Tips
you can add 1/8 or 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes to the sauce if you want to make it much much spicier :)
Directions
mix the chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, ground cumin, sea salt, and black pepper in the cup of water and mix well. Let it sit for while to wake up the flavors.
Empty the can of black beans into a skillet and pour in the sauce, bring to a boil and lower heat and simmer for 10 to 20 minutes, or until sauce thickens.
Serve over tortilla chips and garnish with salsa, olives, chopped onions, refried beans(heated of course), chopped roma tomatoes, and as much lettuce as you'd like.
I promise you, you will NOT be able to quit eating this if you make it exactly as described :)
