Ingredients

1 Tbsp Canola Oil
1.5 pounds ground turkey
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup red or green bell pepper
1 clove garlic (or garlic powder)
1 tsp taco mix seasoning
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp dry oregano
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp tomato paste
14.5 ounces beef broth
14.5 ounces canned chopped tomatoes with liquid
.25 chopped green chili
7 ounces salsa
*1 can drained black beans (optional)
*grated cheddar cheese (optioinal)
*non fat greek yogurt or fat free sour cream
Tips
*For deluxe chili add grated cheddar cheese and a dollop of greek non-fat yogurt or fat free sour cream.
*For super low carb leave out the black beans.
*For low, low fat, use 1 tbsp of oil in a non stick pan.
*For less heat leave out green chilis and cut down on taco seasoning. For more heat add more taco seasoning and/or cayenne pepper.
Directions
In a large fry pan cook the onion and red pepper in the oil till the onion is translucent. Stir in some minced garlic. Add the ground turkey and all the spices and cook until well browned. Add the tomato paste and stir until everything is coated. Add the beef broth and simmer for about 5 minutes to reduce the liquid. Add the chopped tomatoes, salsa and green chilis, stir well and cook until the mixture is as thick as you like it. (About 15 minutes) Spoon out and enjoy
