Ingredients
-
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 Tbsp minced ginger
2 cloves garlic minced
6 scallions diced (40gm)
1.5 oz red bell pepper diced (50gm)
9 oz green cabbage shredded
3.5 oz broccoli florets diced small
1 tsp fresh jalapeno pepper diced (9gm)
5 leaves of basil chiffoned
1/2 lime juice (.5 oz)
3 tsp braggs liquid aminos (or wheat free soy sauce)
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1 Tbsp fish sauce
1 Tbsp sesame oil (14gm)
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp minced ginger (5gm)
Tips
I made another sauce to drizzle over the beef mixture that is only slightly different. You could use that or make double the amout of sauce and put aside some to drizzle. Here's a link to the sauce http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=1948436
Directions
Mix lime juice, liquid aminos or soy sauce, coriander, garlic, ginger, crushed red pepper, sesame oil, fish sauce whisk together and set aside.
Dice all veggies and have in a bowl.
Brown beef over medium heat I added a tiny sprinkle of salt and some black pepper. Once almost browned add green onions and garlic. Cook a minute or 2 then add veggies and sauce. When vegetables are cooked down top with basil (or cilantro would be good)
Wrap mixture into bibb, romaine or any kind of lettuce and enjoy!
Serving Size: Makes 8 servings about 4oz of mixture
