Introduction

Ingredients

1/2 small Cauliflower
1/2 small Broccoli
3 Tbls Flour
1 1/2 Cups Milk
60g Butter
salt, pepper
3 Bacon Rashers (optional)
1/2 Breadcrumbs
30g Cheese, extra for crumbed topping
15g Butter, extra for crumbed topping
Directions
1. Remove stalks from cauliflower and broccoli, and cut them into large flowerets. Cook in boiling salted water until tender, remove from heat and drain.
2. dice bacon rashers and fry in pan. remove from pan. This step is optional.
3. Put butter in pan, stir over medium heat until melted. Add flour, stir until smooth, cook 1 minute.add milk gradually, stir until smooth, then until sauce boils and thickens. Remove from heat, add grated cheese, salt and pepper. stir until cheese melts.
4. Spread half of cheese sauce over base of ovenproof dish, arrange cauliflower, broccoli and bacon on top of sauce, then spread remaining sauce over the top.
5. Combine breadcrumbs, extra cheese and extra melted butter. Sprinkle ontop of cheese sauce. Bake in oven of 180 decgrees c for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
