Ingredients

    Butter, unsalted, 3 tbsp
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Garlic, 1/4 cup
    Low sodium chicken broth, 8 cup
    Black-eyed peas cooked without salt, 5 cup
    Bay Leaf, 5 leaves

Directions

Soak peas overnight. Saute onions and garlic in butter. Add peas, broth, and bay leaves and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occassionally.
