Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup honey, 1/4 cup powdered Rice Krispies (made from 1.25 cup)) 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 2 cups rolled oats, 1 cup total dried fruits chopped up -we like white raisins, apricots, sweet red cherries. (You can add 1/2 cup sliced almonds.)
Tips
I made four batches at one time and smash them tightly into a large cookie sheet. baked for 35 minutes. after cut wrapped them in plastic wrap and used them for "grab & go"s.
Directions
350* coat a 9 by 9 inch pan with spray and insert parchment paper and spray the paper.
Mix dried fruit with flour and cinnamon set a side.
Melt butter, sugar and honey in a large pot over low heat until melted and dissolved. remove from heat and let cool while you mix cereal, oats, fruit mixture.
Add vanilla to warm honey mixture than pour over fruit and cereal mix, coat well. Transfer the mixture in to the lined baking dish and pack down firmly. Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown. Allow the granola to cool 1 hour in pan, then transfer to board and cut.
