Introduction

Chana Dal is one of the most delicious dished in Punjabi cousin. Prepared by boiling the chana dal and then giving it a refreshing touch of Tadka ! Punjabi style ;-)

Tadka means to Fry tomatoes and onions together, with spices added, salt and chili to taste.
The word "spices" has a whole lot of varying meaning to food dictionary. Variables of spices could be just garam masala or fried jira or fried rie.
The last step for the decoration of the precipice is to add fresh coriander leaves. Serve it with hot and fluffy chapatis.

    Chana dal boiled 100 gm
    onion chopped 1.5 medium sized
    Tomato 2 samll sized
    Refined oil 1/2 cup
    water 2.5 cups

Tips

Fried Red/green Chili can also be added for some extra flavor and decoration. Sprinkling kasoori methi will have extra dimension to taste :-)
