Ingredients

    3 turkey bacon slices, cooked and chopped
    1 teas olive oil
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1 tbls chili powder
    1 teas. garlic powder
    2 teas. prepared yellow mustard
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 tbls molasses
    1 tbls red wine vinegar
    4 cups (2-15 oz cans) white beans, any kind
    2 cups (1-14.5 oz can) diced tomatoes

Directions

Cook bacon in olive oil over medium heat until crisp. Remove from pan, add onion, chili powder, garlic powder and mustard. Saute' 2 minutes. Stir in reserved bacon, molasses, vinegar and diced tomatoes. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Place ingredients into a blender or food processor with 1/2 cup of the beans and carefully blend until smooth. Return to pan along with the remaining beans. Heat through for another 5 minutes. Serve.

Yield: 4 servings (serv size approx. 1 1/2 cup)
