Ingredients
-
2lbs Jennie-O Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast (99% Lean)
2lbs lean ground beef (no more then 7% fat)
4 large egg whites
2- 1/3cup servings of bread crumbs (original)
1 1/2 cups water
6Tbsp tomato paste
2cans (10 1/2oz) Campbell's French Onion Soup
4Tbsp Red Cooking Wine
3tsp Worcestershire Sauce (I used French's Low Sodium)
salt (I used Sea Salt)
fresh ground pepper
Directions
In a large bowl combine turkey meat and ground beef with egg whites and bread crumbs, then separate into equal portion sized patties.
***I had to split this into two batches when cooking since my skillet was not large enough to hold 16 patties***
Spray a skillet with nonstick spray and cook patties through. Remove patties from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet (do not drain) add half of all the remaining ingredients. Remember only half a batch at a time.
Bring the ingredients in the skillet to a boil.
Add half of the patties, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Uncover and cook an additional 10 minutes.
Transfer all patties and sauce to another dish to free your skillet to repeat the process of the sauce for the remaining patties.
When serving, use a fork to poke holes in the patty and ladle sauce over patty.
Serving Size: Makes 16 steaks, 1 steak per serving
