Ingredients

    1 pound lean ground beef
    1 large onion, diced
    1 T minced garlic
    1/2 large red pepper, diced
    1 T salt
    1 t black pepper
    16 oz can Bush's medium chili beans
    15 oz can tomato sauce
    29 oz can diced tomato
    2 bay leaves
    1 t basil
    2 T dried parsley
    1/2 t dried thyme
    2 T chili powder
    1 T cumin

Tips

I recommend starting with 1/2 amounts of chili powder and cumin, then adjusting to taste after approx 1 hour cooking time.


Directions

Brown ground beef with onion/garlic/red pepper/salt/pepper. Drain well.

Add all ingredients to crock pot, stir. Cook on low for at least 3-4 hours.
