Ingredients

    4 Cups Quick Oats
    2 Cups Protein Powder
    1/2 Cup pb2
    1/2 Cup agave nectar
2/3 Cup dried fruit (sour cherries)
    1/2 Cup walnuts
1/2 Cup almond milk (vanilla unsweetened)
    1/2 Cup unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 Cup dark chocolate
    1 tbsp ground cinnamon
    2 tsp vanilla extract

Tips

You can substitute many different ingredients here. You can use honey in place of agave nectar, you can use soy or cows milk, several different types of dried fruit or raisins or omit it if you prefer. You can use seeds (flax) in place of nuts. I've tried several different ingredients but this seems to be my families favorite. You can also use 1/2 cup regular peanut butter instead of the powder PB2. You would put that in with the wet ingredients.

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients (oats, protein powder and PB2, dried fruit, nuts) put aside in large bowl. In a microwave safe bowl, mix the agave, milk, unsweetened applesauce, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla and heat in microwave for 30 seconds at a time until all dark chocolate has melted. Add it to the dry ingredients and mix completely. Should resemble no bake cookies. Put in a med-large pan lined with waxed paper and store in refrigerator for 20 minutes, then pull out and cut into whatever sized bars you like. Store in freezer or refrigerator.
