Ingredients

    3 cups whole wheat flour
    .25 cup wheat germ
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1.5 cups warm water

Directions

Using a bread maker, following its instructions, the ingredients were added and put on the dough cycle. After the cycle was complete the dough was rolled out into a rope and sliced into several (10-12) pieces.

Preheat the oven and pan to 500F. Ensure rack and pan are at the bottom of the oven.
Roll out each pita into a flat circle.
Cook each pita 4 minutes on one side, flip and then 2 minutes on the second side.

While still warm, store in a ziploc bag.

Serving Size: Makes 10-12 (or or really as many as you like) pitas
